Das Gehäuse dieses VIA wird aus einem ausgesprochen robusten und griffigen Weichkunststoff (TPE) hergestellt. Es liegt durch die konische Formgebung angenehm und sicher in der Hand.

Der VIA wird mit einem starken Magnet auf seiner Basis gehalten. Nimmt man ihn davon ab, startet der Audiobeitrag durch das Auslösen des Reed-Kontaktes automatisch. Nach dem Auflegen ist das Abspielen beendet. Optional integrierte Taster oder Wippschalter im Gehäusedeckel ermöglichen den Wechsel zwischen zwei Sprachen oder das Navigieren durch das Auswahlmenü.

Um die jeweilige Option entsprechend zu beschriften, kann der Gehäusedeckel graviert oder beklebt werden. Die Standardfarbe ist Schwarz, es sind jedoch nahezu alle RAL Classic Farben als Sonderanfertigung realisierbar.

Ein robuster Edelstahlflexschlauch schützt die Anschlussleitung und sichert den Hörer zuverlässig. Der speziell entwickelte Knickschutz am Schlauch verhindert direkte Belastungen auf das Innere und schützt vor Abknicken am Gehäuse und Sockel, was die Lebensdauer und Zuverlässigkeit des Hörers erhöht.
